It’s that time of year again, to play with pumpkins! I’m not traditional at all, so you know most of my items are going to go off the beaten path when it comes to your “traditional” colors to use for fall.  However, I did find some inspiration and created a few that are traditional orange pumpkins. They are still being tweaked as I’m writing this post.

If you read my last post, you know about my battle with these. As soon as I got out the bling elements and showing her the colors I was using, she was all smiles and trusted me again, haha.  Yes, my pumpkins have very sassy attitudes, just like my oldest daughter!  After taking this first picture, I did go back and add a few more items to it. I love the script writing that’s on the front of the pumpkin. One of my favorite things to do is writing in cursive, I hated it when I was younger. I practice my handwriting all the time, it’s common in my house to find me writing on a piece of paper the same word over and over until I feel I mastered how it looks. I love the feeling of writing on paper, my hands feel so relaxed after the front and back are fully covered. You would think my hands go through enough stress with making all these tiny details in my flower creations. I think it’s just relaxing overall. I’m a visual person and I love watching videos on people drawing or writing, the ASMR starts to kick in big time!! That probably explains why it feels the way it does when I write.

Can we take a moment and appreciate how well this wine color goes with this peach color? I imagine me eating fresh peaches at a vineyard and spending the day lounging and listening to French style classic jazz. Longing for company as I write home to tell them all about my love affair with the local village that I’m staying at for the fall season. There is just a smidge of cool breeze, just enough to need a sweater. You can smell summer ending in the evening hours.  Oh, how I wish I was there right now!

Did you notice the very small changes to pumpkin yet? Also, Do you like the white background or the black? I’m still on the fence as to which one I truly love.

This view is my favorite! I love how it trails down the side of the pumpkin. You can see a little of the script writing that is on the back side of this pumpkin. I love these rubs on I got from the dollar tree, Yes, you read that right, dollar tree!

Shabby Chic Pumpkin - Love Letters

I added a small postal stamp logo on this side. I really wanted to set the mood with this pumpkin as it was a written letter to someone. I love little details like this, it gives it so much more personality. I always look for those one of kind items that have a story to tell just by looking at it.  She was a lot of fun to dress up and spoil for a day. Looking forward to treating my other pumpkins the same way, with their own unique style. These be available soon in my shop. Excited to see the entire collection all together.

I would love to know your thoughts on her. Trust me when I say this little pumpkin will be waiting to hear all your compliments you shower on her, haha, she really is sassy. Until next time, happy crafting everyone!
